This documentary is about a famous Chinese painter, Liu Xiao-Dong. After 30 years left his hometown, this year he decided to go back home and to paint his family, his friends and his hometown which changed a lot today. Every one of Liu's paintings is a part of the whole, a frozen moment infused with his childhood memories and current existence. He confronts the objects in his painting from an honest, independent and daring point of view.
