Fan favorite Emily Maynard becomes the first single mom to star on the hit romance reality series The Bachelorette. Emily, 26, thought she had found her happy ending with Bachelor Brad Womack; unfortunately, that relationship didn’t work out and Emily now hopes to find everlasting love — the kind she had with her former fiancé and her daughter’s father, NASCAR driver and team owner Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash in 2004 — with one of the 25 men she will meet on The Bachelorette. The show will begin shooting in the Bachelorette’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, before Emily and the bachelors move on to dates in international and exotic locations, like London, Bermuda, Prague, Dubrovnik and the beautiful island of Curaҫao.
