Liko receives her first Pokémon, Sprigatito, but she’s soon chased by the Explorers, who want the mysterious pendant she wears. Friede, Captain Pikachu, and the Rising Volt Tacklers rescue her, and she joins their crew. So does Roy, whose partner Pokémon is Fuecoco. When a black Rayquaza escapes from the Ancient Poké Ball that Roy carries, the Rising Volt Tacklers head to Paldea to find it.
